A “Poppin.” of Color

We know it doesn’t quite feel like Spring just yet, but nothing helps beat these last days of winter, and brighten your day like a little pop of color.  No, we’re not talking about a shoe, a clutch, or even a bright bauble. We’re talking a different kind of accessory.  You style yourself,  but what about your tech?  While it may not be realistic to coordinate your technology cases and covers to your daily outfit,  a seasonal style choice is absolutely doable.  Just as certain fabrics and colors in our wardrobe are conducive to specific seasons, the same goes for the accessories that protect our gadgets.  In winter, we lean towards more warm or dark colors: black, brown and wine tones. Leather and more classic styles and textiles seem to work with our boots, jackets and scarves.

As we approach the spring season, and abandon our various cold weather armor in favor of bright colors and shorter hemlines, it’s also time to rethink your covers and cases.  But why stop there?  Give your workspace a warm weather makeover – it’ll go a long way to brighten your mood when you’re stuck at work during those picture perfect spring days.  Whether you’re styling your desk at home, your cubical, or your first office for your new start-up venture, online magazine or hat collection, we love these chic color coordinated desk accessories.

Bringing that special touch to your tech lies in the details; we’ve been so inspired (and having a little bit of desk envy) browsing Poppin, a site that has bright and stylish alternatives for everything from tape dispensers and clipboards, to mouse pads and magnets – and literally everything in between.  Ditch the typical black and silver desk accessories and go for a super chic all white look, or throw in a splash of yellow or a touch of aqua.  And remember to change these seasonally (we’re keeping an eye out for some faux fur touches to go with fall’s huge fur trend!).
