The trench coat. A wardrobe staple indeed, nothing epitomizes understated sexy and classic tailoring quite like it. And while everyone should have one in their closet, there are times that

call for this basic to be taken to the next level.

From leather to fur, slouchy to structured, lady- like to androgynous, the trench-with-a-twist is the mood ring of fashion. Olivia’s trench becomes more than simply a coat; the ruffled collar and billowy shape bring a femininity that instead make it not only an essential part of the ensemble, but also an essential way of saying who she is. If what we wear defines who we are- by broadcasting how we want others to see us, then why not tell everyone who you want to be (on that day, at least).
