Lines We Love: CLU

LA based brand CLU came from modest beginnings, with a simple brief in 2004 of redefining (and hand-sewing) the classic t-shirt. Design duo Seung Lee and Jui Lee now produce extensive ready-to-wear and diffusion lines, adding their own take on luxe to essential basics.

Their fall collection is comprised of comfortable jersey pieces, fluid shapes and cute details, as well as their signature “haute couture t-shirts”. Simple shapes are reworked, adding finishing touches such as lace trims to cashmere sweaters and jackets, whilst fabric embellishments add a layered quality to tops and sweatshirts. Basic shapes morph in to asymmetric creations, thanks to the Lee’s unique pattern cutting techniques.

CLU is a line we love here at HQ and a brand we turn to when updating those all-important seasonal basics. CLU is stocked worldwide at the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols and NET-A-PORTER, meaning you can love it too!
