Shopping For: Weekender Bags

- By Teresa Greenfeld -

I had a friend once who could fit everything she needed for a trip in an average sized duffel bag- it didn’t matter if the trip lasted a week or a few days.  The look of smugness on her face whenever we would travel together, her easily toting her “luggage”, and me struggling to not collapse from the weight of a suitcase bigger than I, made it clear she thought my dedication to one’s wardrobe frivolous, at best.  ………………

The few times I would attempt to pack light brought on such levels of stress and indecisiveness, that only a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a swirly straw could cure. How does one know what they’ll want to wear, days before they wear it?  Inevitably, the perfect outfit will be one I didn’t bring, and everything I packed will suddenly seem not quite right.   …………………………………………………………………………………………..
With the long Thanksgiving weekend breathing down on us, we give you our selection of weekender bags.  A collection so lust-worthy, even the most terminal over-packer will want to convert. Or just use one as a large purse.    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
